Public School Fire Drills

The McHenry Township Fire Protection District conducts annual fire drills with all 17 of our public and private schools each year. 

Items that are evaluated at each drill are:

1. Time, an ideal time is less than 5 min.

2. An orderly exit from the building

3. Closing all interior doors, to reduce pathway of smoke

4. Accountability of all occupants
