MTFPD, in partnership with BoatUS Foundation, loans life jackets for a day or weekend. 

Fill out the form below, or stop by the station at 3610 W. Elm Street, McHenry (corner of 120 & 31). Look for the entrance with the "Borrow Life Jackets Here" poster.  Ring the doorbell and someone will assist you. If you arrive at station outside of business hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm), please be aware that we may be on a call and not available to assist. 

We have life jackets available for children between 16lbs to 88lbs as well as adult sizes. Bring children with to the station that need to be fitted for the life jacket.

To check out life jackets, you must sign a liability waiver, and show that your driver's license matches the address you provide.  When finished boating, you would return the jacket(s) to us at the station where you picked them up.
